i booked nicely decorated room with breakfast. the location was stunning, adjacent to the giants causeway, ballymena & belfast, the coastline under the shadow of the now dormant volcano and a local pub and easily accessible. also, the glens of antrim was 1 mile away from the hotel.

olive and james are probably the best hosts of any b&b i have stayed at, and i have stayed at many, they go over and above the call of duty, just a great place to stay, views to die for. I highly recommend Cullentra House to any visitor to this area, you will not be disappointed, 10 out of 10 for this venue

We really enjoyed seeing the countryside and small villages along the way--the way the locals really live in northern Ireland. we had been to the cuaseway and wanted to catch a ferry the next day in Larne. This location was perfect but it was the absolutely breathtaking scenery and the stop and smell the roses village attitude that had us hooked. Even our hard to please teens were hooked. They enjoyed communing with the local sheep and sheep dogs. Also it really helped that wifi was available in their rooms so they could show their disbelieving friends via webcam the scenery and sheep out the window. Our hosts were amazing and had a pot of tea on the boil on our arrival and held breakfast for our son for over an hour. They even called ahead to the local restaurant to not close the kitchen and await our late arrival. they had us at "Hello and Welcome".
It would have been nice to either have a house key, or not have them lock the door. My husband and I wanted to go star-gazing later that night and couldn't because the door was locked and we didn't feel comfortable asking or perhaps even waking anyone up for access. It was no biggy but it is something to think about.

ideal base for exploring beautiful landmarks and charming parks
I enjoyed the most amazing breakfast with homemade breads and scones and was easily able to walk to nearby Cushendall Golf Club. The cozy room and fine views really added to the experience.

I liked the warmth and helpfulness of the owners. I liked the scenic location, the varied breakfast and comfortable room. The interaction with the owners was just right, leaving us the freedom to come and go as if we were in our own house.

The owners were very helpful and the house was clean and comfortable. Cushendahl is very small but they were able to help us with dinner plans. It was a very pleasant stay.
It was a bit difficult to find the house. We asked for help in town, but it still was not easy to find.

We stayed for one night. Owner and husband are most pleasant and obliging. We were served tea and cake on arrival, and we later took up their offer to drop us in their own car into Cushendall (about 2 kilometers away) so that we could go for a meal in Joe's Upstairs (excellent) and drinks afterwards downstairs (great craic), and collected us after midnight when we rang them. Breakfast was very good.
We had looked beforehand for an ensuite room but there was none available. However the bathroom was across the hallway, so it was not a major problem. I couldn't manage the bed-side light which works on a touch basis, but my wife says I wasn't doing things right.

Our group vacation was fantastic! We explored the Giant's Causeway and Rathlin Island, both must-sees. The accommodation was like home, with fine views and a good breakfast that was a real treat. Olive and James.

The landlady is extremely nice (she suggested and booked a nice and quiet restaurant for the evening), breakfast is good and filling, the view from the b&b is stunning and there's a free Wi-Fi connection! Go for it ;)
